It describes what the site currently does, in plain English, but it has not been through legal review and is not a compliant privacy notice. Replace it before launch.
What we collect
If you subscribe to a briefing we store the email address you give us and which briefings you picked, and nothing else. There are no accounts on this site. If you email us — including with a story lead — we keep that correspondence so we can answer it.
What we do with it
Your email address is used to send you the briefings you asked for. It is not sold, rented or shared with advertisers or partners. What a source tells the news desk is handled under our editorial standards and is never shared.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count visits and measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies, collect no personal data and report only aggregated numbers — we cannot see who you are. If we add any other analytics tool, it will be named here first.
Advertising and sponsorship
There is no advertising on the site today, and nothing that tracks you across other sites. If that changes, any provider that sets cookies or tracks will be named here, with how to opt out, before it goes live.
Leaving
Every briefing has a one-click unsubscribe. It removes your address rather than marking it inactive, and it takes effect immediately.
